🌟 Reflecting on an Inspiring Day at Wellroot’s Reaching Teens Summit! 🌟Last Thursday, Beth Ganga & Sonia Tyler from District 2 had the honor of attending Wellroot’s Reaching Teens Summit, where we gained incredible insight from Dr. Ken Ginsburg on Lighthouse Parenting—a transformative approach that reframes how we guide and support adolescents. We walked away with some powerful jewels from Dr. Ginsburg’s session, and we’re excited to share them with you! The Truth About Adolescents:🔹 They worry about risk & want adult guidance to stay safe.🔹 They are natural experimenters, exploring limits to maximize learning.🔹 They care deeply what their parents think & seek role models in adults.🔹 They can be talked with in ways that enhance their reasoning abilities.🔹 They are super learners, optimizing experiential learning.🔹 They are inherently idealistic & refuse to ignore injustice.💡 Understanding these truths can help us all better connect with and support the young people in our lives.A huge thank you to Wellroot for hosting such an impactful event, creating space for learning, growth, and meaningful discussions on how we can empower today’s youth. We’re excited to take what we’ve learned and put it into action!#ReachingTeens #LighthouseParenting #TeenEmpowerment #YouthAdvocacy #BetterTogetherDeKalb #Wellroot #SupportingOurFuture See MoreSee Less
